Here’s the trailer of “The Trap”, Direkt36’s new documentary

Direkt36’s new documentary, The Trap, will be released soon, focusing on the lost opportunities of the past 16 years of the Orbán era.

The new film by the creators of The Dynasty reveals the promises Viktor Orbán made when he came to power in 2010 and the historic opportunities he had to fulfill them, thanks to EU funds and global economic prosperity.

The film also shows what the government has ultimately achieved after 16 years, particularly in the areas of public services that are most important in people’s lives: education, transportation, and healthcare. This is illustrated not only by data and expert opinions, but also by personal stories.

In some ways, The Trap is related to Direkt36’s previous documentary, The Dynasty, which shows how the Orbán family built their business empire. The new film is essentially about what happens to services that fundamentally affect people’s lives when the government’s priority is not to develop these areas, but to gain and expand economic power.
